Don't Forget to wear protective equipment and eyewear.

Travel Tips

  • Always remember to bring an extra pair of glasses or contact lenses and a copy of your prescription.

  • Contact lens wearers should be aware of the risks and signs of infection.  Educate yourself and take along proper disinfection equipment and solutions.

  • Sunglasses not only make you more comfortable, they protect your eyes from harmful ultraviolet radiation.  Take sunglasses that have full UV400 protection.

  • Take along artificial tears to soothe and refresh your eyes.  These can be especially comforting on airplanes where the air is very dry.

Sports Tips

  • Hockey players and racquetball players should always wear protective eye wear.

  • Always wear a helmet when riding a bicycle.  Also good wrap around sunglasses protect your eyes from debris.

  • When you are outdoors in the sun don't  forget to wear sunglasses.  A cap also provides protection from harmful ultraviolet radiation.  Also remember that sunscreen lotion with an SPF of 8 or greater will help protect your skin.

Take along sunglasses and artificial tear eyedrops.  They protect and soothe your eyes.
