Dr. Paul Donzis is a Board Certified ophthalmologist with 20 years experience specializing in refractive and cataract surgery. Dr. Donzis is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCLA School of Medicine and a member of the Laser Vision Associates at the Doheny and Jules Stein Eye Institutes.
Dr. Donzis completed residency training in ophthalmology at Tulane University School of Medicine. He then completed a subspecialty fellowship in corneal and external disease at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA School of Medicine where he received advanced training in refractive and anterior segment surgery. During his fellowship he received research grants from the National Institute of Health and Heed Ophthalmic Foundation to study contact lens infections. Dr. Donzis continues to pursue research interests in refractive surgery and contact lens wear.
Dr. Donzis attended Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, graduating as the Robert Carter Memorial Scholar for meritorious academic achievement. Dr. Donzis received post graduate training in Internal Medicine at UCLA School of Medicine. He graduated magna cum laude in Economics from Princeton University.
Dr. Donzis has received numerous awards and honors throughout his career and is the author of over 40 scientific publications and book chapters. He has presented papers and spoken at National and International ophthalmology symposiums and conferences.
